Jr Team Golf – September 17, 2016 Results

Third competition of the Fall – Better Ball of Partners Match Play. Or Low Gross in threesomes. Play interrupted by rain then cleared. Training theme this week was “Focus” – concentration of one’s attention. We talked about various things players need to focus on when on the golf course such as handling clubs/bag, pace of play, care for the golf course, safety, and then a “Focus Routine” when playing the shots.

The “Focus Routine” I like to see each player adopt is:

1. start behind the ball,
2. pick the target,
3. move in to the ball,
4. aim the clubface,
5. set the feet,
6. final look to the target,
7. wind up, fire, and
8.  stick the finish!

Congratulations to our players for their focus today despite the rainy and wet conditions.
